The Funky Bus started as a dare at an open mic night in 2018 and somehow never stopped. We're a seven-piece funk and soul collective based in Denver, Colorado — horns, keys, bass, guitar, drums, and two voices that refuse to be ignored. We play the kind of music that gets into your bones and refuses to leave.

The heartbeat of the bus. Ray's pocket is so deep you could lose your keys in it. He's been keeping time since the rest of us were still figuring out the beat.

T-Bone has played with everyone from local jazz clubs to national touring acts. He chose us. We're still not sure why, but we're grateful.
